By taking advantage of this free tool, you can grow your business through your engagement on LinkedIn. It’s the professional platform of social media where over 2/3 of online adults spend their time which include your clients and prospects. Research shows LinkedIn is the most used social media platform for business to business interaction. Don’t you want to be part of that conversation?

Getting started on LinkedIn is fairly easy and with a few hours initially, you can be set up and start engaging with clients and prospects. Once you have your profile 100% completed, you can spend an hour a week which will help you stay connected with clients and prospects. Nu marketing has put together a 60 Day LinkedIn Challenge for you to follow.

Week 1

  • Set up or enhance your profile
  • Write a summary of your experience (5-6 sentences) and what VALUE you bring or have brought to your clients
  • Put all your work experience on your profile including each position with a short description on each
  • Update your Profile Picture with a professional image
  • Add Education, Certifications, Licenses, Honors and Awards
  • Insert all volunteer, non-profit and industry related board of directors you currently or in the past participate in
  • Add all your talented skills
  • Share 1 article you found interesting with your connections

Week 2

  • Share 1 article you found interesting
  • Comment on someone’s article they posted
  • Send a private message to a past client

Week 3

  • Research and Join Client Groups (at least three groups)
  • Start conversations and ask questions—Engage
  • Share 1 article you found interesting
  • Connect with 3 clients

Week 4

  • Ask 2 clients for recommendations
  • Share 1 article you found interesting
  • Comment on someone’s article they posted

Week 5

  • Comment on someone’s article they posted
  • Connect with 3 clients
  • Send a private message to a past client

Week 6

  • Share 1 article you found interesting on your profile and groups
  • Connect with 3 clients
  • Send a private message to a past client

Week 7

  • Write 1 article about your industry that you find fascinating and post it in the groups you’ve joined along with the posting feature on LinkedIn
  • Share 1 article you found interesting on your profile and in your joined groups
  • Connect with 3 industry partners
  • Comment on someone’s article they posted

Week 8

  • Share 1 article you found interesting on your profile and in your joined groups
  • Connect with 3 industry partners
  • Comment on someone’s article they posted
  • Send a private message to a past client

Week 9

  • Call us and tell us what you’ve learned and how it’s helping you grow your business
